Talent Show

Here are two sisters who sang a fabulous song together - A You're Adorable! It was adorable.

Here is our class pianist. 

Our class violinist and her side-kick little brother who also plays the violin, but what he can do with his eye brows is a must see, as well as his jig.

This is our solo singer who sang "Second Hand Rose," beautifully. 

The performers in front as Principal Ficken starts the show. This was a particularly wonderful show this year. There was so much talent with such a variety of acts. The acts were well costumed and age-appropriate, too. Thank you to all the performers who entertained us, and to the parents who helped put on the show. 

A former student doing an Indian dance. She was ill this day. What a trooper. The show must go on, as they say in show biz.

We lost one of our class performers to a costume change. 

Our class was VERY well represented. I'm so proud of them.

Navigator Awards for April

Our class earned the Golden Tennis Shoe and the Golden Book for our good behaviors in both PE and Library! Good work, team! Yes, that is Jade letting her inner nerd out for Nerd Day! 

We Love Our Ladies!

We worked in collaborative groups to make a card with a friendly letter to go on the inside. Each group had an author, illustrator and creator. 

This is Mrs. Lyon, our head secretary for our school. She takes really good care of the principal, staff, students, PTSA members, and our community - and she's more beautiful than this picture offers. 

This is Mrs. Lobdell, and she takes care of us in the nurse's room, playground, cross walks and the lunchroom. She also calls our parents to make sure we are home when we are not at school - just to be sure that we are safe. 

This is Mrs. Lewis. She takes care of us in the nurse's room, playground, lunch room and crosswalks. She also takes care of all of our new students and their school records. 

This is Mrs. Nilsen. She takes care of us in the nurse's room, in the lunchroom, and on the playground. She takes care of the school calendar and keeps us all organized when we have big and small events in our school. 

This is Mrs. Albanese. She takes care of us in the lunchroom, on the playground, in the nurse's room, in the crosswalks, and she takes care of our school calendar, newsletter and bits of the school web site. 

All of these ladies work in the office. They can answer any question you have about Emerald Park, or find the answer for you. They do ALL of these tasks with a smile on their faces and love in their hearts. We are so lucky and blessed to have them at our school. A big thank you to them all!
