Cousins!

I have never had cousins in the same class in all my years of teaching, yet this year, I have TWO sets of cousins! I am one LUCKY teacher!

Comparing Presidents

We worked together to compare and contrast the two celebrated presidents: Washington and Lincoln.

We talked and shared our ideas. 

We discussed and debated.

Finally, we glued the clues into a Venn Diagram.

Two heads are better than one.

But, then again, one can always go to the resource for information.

Mrs. Sabo Revisits Just-Right Books with Her Shoes

Would Mrs. Sabo wear a slipper to PE? Nooooo!

Would she wear her water socks to PE? Nooooo!

How about her snow boots? Noooooo!

Perhaps her flip flops? Nooooooo!

Maybe her fancy dress shoes? Nooooo!

Maybe Anahi's pink shoe? Nooooo!

It didn't fit. 

None of these shoes is the right fit to wear to PE. What should she do?

Maybe wearing the wrong shoe to PE will not get her the results she wants to meet her goals in PE, or to have fun in PE, or to learn something new in PE. Maybe if she had the just-right shoe for PE, all her dreams would come true in PE? It's the same with a just-right book. Make sure your dreams can come true while you read. Choose wisely. 

Main Street in Social Studies

In social studies, we learned about our "needs" and "wants". 

We created a business community that would serve our needs and wants.

Some of these businesses were for our needs - like grocery stores. Our businesses had employees to help with the business and advertising to bring in the customers.

Some businesses were for our wants - like computer stores.

Here's a movie theater - need or want?

Pet store - need or want?

Bakery - need or want?
